St Augustine's Singers: Rather than sitting together in the choir stalls we aim to assist the congregation in the singing by being scattered in the pews.
We normally meet Wednesdays at 6.30pm for about an hour to practise the hymns for the following Sunday.
A recent rendition of the hymn " Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer." was seen by many as a metaphor for our spiritual jounery . We started very timidly, not knowing where we fiitted in.. We gradually gained in confidence encouraged by our guest organist Luke, until we were able to sing with a cresendo. " Songs of Praises, I Will Ever Sing to Thee"
